How we can help

My name is Lana, and I am the founder of Literacy Beyond Word.

Our team specializes in working with students with learning differences. We believe that intervention is a process, not a product, and we are here to support your family in giving your child the best quality support possible, every step of the way.

Our Approach

  • Science-based Literacy Instruction

    Instruction is personalized and grounded in the science of learning. We explicitly break down the patterns behind reading, spelling, writing and math — so students understand the why, not just the how.

  • Executive Functioning Skill-Building

    Executive functioning is the brain’s ability to self-regulate, stay organized, and plan ahead. Students with learning challenges often struggle with this ability, so explicitly learning these skills helps them succeed both academically and in everyday life.

  • Multi-Sensory

    Lessons engage multiple areas of the brain by integrating visual, auditory, kinesthetic, and tactile techniques. This approach helps students strengthen memory and retention, stay actively engaged, and deepen understanding.
